For many years, capacitive sensors have dominated the market. Unfortunately this technology has shown some limits. We took it upon ourselves to create a new way to achieve greater stability and linearity in order to match the greater resolution requirements of modern microscopy techniques.

Our goal was to find an elegant, cost efficient solution, to provide accurate and stable positioning. We developed a range of ultra-stable nanopositioners, dedicated to a wide number of applications, with significant advantages over products already on the market. Our silicon sensor technology provides such an advantage. This technology outperforms high-end capacitive sensors thanks to their exceptionally high signal. As a result, our stages offer picometric stability and subnanometric (or sub-nanoradian) noise floor through their simple yet efficient flexure design and ultra low-noise electronics.
